Welcome to the Linking to Our Resources page. Here you will find Terms of Use and Frequently Asked Questions for using our downloadable web buttons. Web buttons allow you to directly link to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection’s (“C3P”) websites and resources from your website for public awareness, educational, and other purposes.
C3P invests a considerable amount of time and expertise into its resources. Information on our sites is organized and conveyed in the way we feel is best for the intended audience. You may link to our work using the approved web buttons on this page and following the Terms of Use below. Any resources, logos, trademarks, or images found elsewhere on our websites or on the web are not approved for third-party use.

Can I display any C3P logo or trademark on my website or resource?
No. Only the web buttons found on this web page are permitted for such use. Our trademarks are registered and must only be used by us or in the way we direct. The web buttons on this page have been approved for use in the manner set out on this page. All other resources, trademarks, logos, or other C3P materials are not permitted for use on third party websites, third party resources, or any other third-party material.
Can I just add a PDF or a copy of the resource to my website instead of displaying the web button?
No. C3P routinely updates resources and websites, and the use of the web buttons will ensure only the most current version of our resources and websites ever made are accessible to the public, regardless of where or how a person accesses them.
Can I alter, amend, or adapt the web button or the C3P resource?
No. Altering, amending or adapting the web buttons, or any of C3P’s logos, trademarks, and resources is not permitted.
C3P dedicates substantial resources to the development of its web buttons, its websites, and its resources. All materials are tailored for use by diverse audiences, are evidence-based, and are based on C3P’s experience working in this space for over 35 years. The terminology and design are purposeful and must not be changed.
Using the materials as is helps ensure C3P’s resources and information are used as intended so they can continue to help keep children safe, and equip families, schools and child serving organizations to protect children.

Commit to Kids: Foundational Information for Safeguarding Children from Sexual Abuse
This 23-minute foundational video emphasizes the important role adults who work with children play in safeguarding children/youth from sexual abuse, and covers topics such as the scope of child sexual abuse, barriers to disclosure, grooming, boundary transgressions, and how you can help safeguard children from sexual abuse.
Commit to Kids - Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training for those Working with Children
A 3-hour online training for individuals who work or are preparing to work or volunteer with children. This training results in a certificate of completion and covers the following topics: the definition of child sexual abuse, the grooming process, handling disclosures of child sexual abuse, the impact of child sexual abuse, creating a Child Protection Code of Conduct, and policies and procedures to protect children.

Child Sexual Abuse: It Is Your Business
The booklet includes information adults need to know about child sexual abuse and its impact, the disclosure process and how to respond to it, as well as key prevention tips.
Commit to Kids for Coaches: Foundational Information for Safeguarding Children from Sexual Abuse
This 23-minute foundational video emphasizes the important role adults who work with children play in safeguarding children/youth from sexual abuse, and covers topics such as the scope of child sexual abuse, barriers to disclosure, grooming, boundary transgressions, and how you can help safeguard children from sexual abuse. Coaches will receive one professional development point toward maintenance of certification as part of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
Commit to Kids for Coaches eLearning module
This online training empowers coaches and sport leaders with practical information to help them enhance child and youth safety in sport. Upon completion of this training and a successful knowledge validation test, coaches will receive three NCCP professional development points towards the maintenance of certification.
Safe Sport Resource Sheets
Information for coaches, sport leaders, and parents on the coach-athlete relationship, guidelines for interactions between adults and athletes, as well as how to report inappropriate behaviour and child sexual abuse.
Commit to Kids Kit and Policies and Procedures Workbook
A step-by-step program to help prevent sexual abuse from happening within child-serving organizations. The kit includes the Commit to Kids manual, sample code of conduct, sample policies and procedures, and a steps for reporting inappropriate conduct and steps for reporting child abuse card.

This booklet for parents includes information on current trends and risks such as online luring, sextortion, deepfakes, and online sexual violence.
Teatree Tells: A Child Abuse Prevention Kit
Teatree Tells is a child sexual abuse prevention program designed for children from 4 to 6 years of age. Lessons are age appropriate, engaging and include an animated character, Teatree, who teaches them how to be safe.
Online Safety Digital Lessons for High School
These educator-facilitated lessons cover topics such as healthy and unhealthy relationships, harmful stereotypes, sexual consent and sexual violence, sextortion, AI and deepfakes, as well as where teens can to go for help.

Kids in the Know
Kids in the Know is a national, interactive safety education program designed for students from kindergarten to high school. The purpose of the program is to help educators teach children and youth effective personal safety strategies, building resiliency skills and reducing their likelihood of victimization in the online and offline world.
