Be Smart, Strong & Safe

The Be Smart, Strong & Safe activity book teaches children ages 11 to 12 about healthy boundaries and how to be safe.

Who is it for?

Educators and Parents/Guardians

What does it do?

Discussing sexual abuse with children can often be difficult for parents and educators. Be Smart, Strong & Safe helps address the issue through engaging activities. As a component of the Kids in the Know program, children will learn about appropriate boundaries between adults and children, how to recognize behaviours and situations that present risk, and how to talk to a safe adult when someone makes them feel uncomfortable.

How does it support child safety?

This activity book empowers children with knowledge about healthy and unhealthy boundaries, encourages them to trust their instincts, and reinforces that it’s okay to talk to a safe adult about anything they are unsure of, thereby increasing their safety both online and offline.
