About This Position

C3P is seeking a responsible, dedicated individual to join our team as an Accounting Technician.

The Accounting Technician works closely with the Director of Finance and Administration to provide full cycle day‑to‑day accounting functions including, but not limited to accounts payable, monthly journal entries and bank reconciliations, payroll, GST remittance, year‑end audit preparation, and WCB and HE Tax annual reports, as well as overseeing the tasks of the Accounts Receivable Assistant. This role will also support the administrative team as required including answering telephones, collecting mail and doing bank deposits.

Requirements Include:

  • Post-Secondary in a related accounting field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in performing accounts payable, payroll and ledger duties
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting theories and practices
  • Payroll experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
  • English/French bilingualism is an asset
