Project Arachnid marked eight years of operation this year. Since launching in 2017, the victim-centric set of tools has sent over 130 million removal notices flagging child sexual abuse or harmful-abusive imagery to electronic service providers.

Our Support Services team received 3,000+ requests for help from youth and families. The team helped the survivors and their families figure out next steps, create safety plans, and connect with external resources, walking them through options and opportunities for support.

We issued three alerts that discuss harms facilitated on Discord, risks associated with AI deepfakes, and identifying suspicious social media accounts.

C3P’s legal team intervened in a case before the Supreme Court of Canada which involved challenging the constitutionality of the mandatory minimum sentence for the offences of possessing and accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

Children now have devices with them wherever they go, making it impossible for parents to oversee all of their child’s online activity. This parent group is urging Canada to enact legislation that protects children online like they’re protected offline.

Based on a survey of 281 CSAM survivors, this report sheds light on the online and offline physical, sexual, and verbal abuse endured by survivors.
