What does it do?
The Billy Brings his Buddies initiative helps educators and parents teach children the valuable lesson of safety in numbers and always having another person — a buddy — accompany them when they are travelling from one place to another, both online and offline. Through the various activities, including a storybook, activities, and online games, children learn who can be a buddy, when to bring a buddy, and that the buddy system is something that can be practiced every day to increase their personal safety.
How does it support child safety?
Safety education helps build children’s confidence and critical thinking skills, and helps prepare them for potentially dangerous situations should they arise.
