WINNIPEG, MB: The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is incredibly proud and honoured to have been chosen as one of 50 individuals or organizations to receive a Canadian flag from the Government of Canada to commemorate the flag’s 50th anniversary.
“As a Canadian organization dedicated to the personal safety of all children, we are so pleased that the Government of Canada has chosen to recognize our work in this way,” says Lianna McDonald, Executive Director, Canadian Centre for Child Protection. “We are so proud to be Canadian and are privileged to work every day to keep our children safe.”
The Canadian flag was raised for the first time on February 15, 1965. Sunday marks the 50th anniversary.
